Friends of Santa is a non-profit organization made up of people and local businesses that donate products, services and time. Note: We have no paid employees. All are volunteers. All proceeds go to the families in need.

Mission Statement
To raise money for families in need East of The Cooper.
History
Friends of Santa had its early beginning in Wild Dunes in 1980. Three families were helped that year. (A battered wife with two children, a burned out family with children, etc.) Throughout the years we have helped with food, shelter, clothing and toys. We have provided fuel oil, paid electric and gas bills, purchased eyeglasses for children, purchased stoves and refrigerators for families in need. We also contribute to Meals on Wheels, Sandpiper Nursing Home, East Cooper Outreach, Inter-Faith Ministry, and Windwood Farms Home For Boys. Since our early beginning, we have helped countless families and children. To date we have raised over a million dollars of which each and every dollar has gone to help others.
How It Works
Monies for families in need are obtained by having a "Christmas in July" party with food by Hamby and the best beach music in town, like the Embers and East Coast Party band. We solicit sponsors that receive party invitations and special recognition at our party. Donations are obtained from many special people and families throughout the year. This keeps Christmas year round for so many families.
