Amie Grimes

Amie's connection to Friends of Santa runs deep, rooted in a family tradition that spans decades. Born and raised in Mount Pleasant, she grew up watching her parents support the organization back in the 1980s when the town was much smaller. Christmas was always a special family time in her house, and she wants to bring that same joy to others in the community. Now in her second year on the board as Secretary, she's been attending events and volunteering as a shopper for several years.

What makes this work especially meaningful for Amie is bringing joy to families during what can be a tough season for many. Her experience as Treasurer for the Lowcountry Food Bank Foundation has opened her eyes to needs that many people aren't aware of. As she puts it, "Many people are one meal away or one bill away from homelessness," and she appreciates that Friends of Santa works with families in many ways to assist not only at Christmas time but throughout the year.

As Director of Accounting at The Intertech Group, Amie brings valuable financial expertise to the board. She's fortunate to live near her close-knit family, including her parents and sister's family, and enjoys traveling with her boyfriend Paul. Her favorite holiday tradition perfectly captures her love for the season: riding around looking at Christmas lights while listening to Christmas music, soaking in all the magic that makes this time of year so special.
